The story of the story…

Here is a title with a story! This idea came about somewhere between Anderoth’s Dragon and Terth Willager. I toyed with the idea for some time before settling down and writing the entire book with pen and paper with no outline to guide me. That version was titled The Theonis Trio at the time. Even finished, I knew something wasn’t right about it so I set it aside for other projects. I went back later and revamped the story in an attempt to make the story stronger and the characters more interesting, again completing the book but again, feeling unsure about it. I loved the character I created and the companions she would pick up on her journey but the story just wasn’t there yet. More time passed and I picked up the idea again, this time getting a more concrete outline to work with and discovered, after some years of experience with story development, there enough here to create a trilogy with a new title – The Fae Paradox. So now it is a work in progress to get completed.

I didn’t get to writing a synopsis for the The Theonis Trio but in creating the beat sheet for The Fae Paradox, I made notes for each book. Here is book one:

BOOK ONE – MYSTERIES

Seleen, warrior. Being raised and trained in solitude, she is very uncomfortable around people, especially in crowds. Their general behaviour does not make sense to her. She cannot empathize. There is a darkness rolling over the land, a new way of life being forced on the people by King Rapheon and his court. A foreign culture is told to be accepted and it pushes the peoples’ old ways aside.
